Why do fat chicks look less fat when you have had a lot to drink?

I’ve always wondered what the scientific explanation would be? Thought maybe since depth perception and vision was imparied, the depth of a round person appears alot less shallow than it really is. Can someone please explain this to me?

    It’s probably because the alcohol changes your perception of what is fat and what is skinny, as opposed to a specific visual distortion.
    It’s more conceptual I think.

    That’s lovely. Trying to sound smart, does not change the fact that when you’re completely drunk you might come off as less shallow because of not being able to see properly.

    quite simple really. the alcohol suppresses the functions of your frontal lobe. since this is the area that includes judgment then you are more likely to lower your standards as you become impaired. this effect is more commonly known as “beer goggles”. it’s another method that nature uses to ensure that you end up with someone you deem less then desirable.
