What size do you consider fat, healthy, and too thin in juniors?

b b asked:

I was just looking at a magazine and it was talking about unhealthy body image. I was just wondering what other people thought of as “fat”, “healthy”, and “too thin”. Thanks

when your size falls outside of the junior norm of 0-13 you are either too thin or too big. it also depends on height.

    depends on their height.
and say that its juniors there really is no perfect weight becuase your not done growing.
but if your under 5 feet. your probably thin in a 00 and normal in a 0 fat in a 3.
    if your under 5′5 a 0or 1 is skinny, a norma size is a 1 to 3 and fat is over a 7
    if your between 5′6 and 5′9 a 1 or a 3 is skinny and a 3 to five is normal, fat is over a 9 or 11.
and if your over 5′0 skinny is a 3 and under 5to 7 is average and over an 11 is big
really if your in juniors sizing and your still growing there is no too thin. they will grow as they get older

Hey I’m 5′5″ and normally im a size 2, and the doc says Im not underweight. It depends on how tall you are too. A size 10 isn’t that big on a girl that’s almost 6 ft tall. If you’re concerned about whether or not you are in a healthy weight range consult with your doc.

And in different stores you may be different sizes. I’m a size 3 in american eagle and a size 0 in express.

well it does kind of depend on height, etc.
i have a friend who is a size nine just because
she’s really tall, she’s actually regular / slim.

    but anyways.
for MYSELF, this is what I think.

    too thin:
    000 – 1

    healthy:
    2 – 9

    overweight:
    12 +

most people who are twelve plus
    are adults.

You can’t go by clothes size to consider what is healthy, fat or thin.

It depends on the amount of fat you have on your body which is measured as a percentage of your total weight. Also the measurement of your waist is important.

So you can still be a small size, but have a big waist and high body fat % or you could be a large size with a small waist and low body fat %.
